The unique 6 cylinder, 3.5L– i-VTEC VCM in the Accord V6 delivers an impressive power, as well as fuel economy and cleaner emission. The revolutionary new 6 cylinder 3.5L i–VTEC VCM engine, delivering 275ps of power makes the Accord V6 the most powerful car in its class. In fact, it is a technology that combines two characteristics that rarely coexist in conventional engines: Performance and Fuel Economy.
With its flexible use of cylinders, the unique VCM (Variable Cylinder Management) technology virtually gives you three engines in one car. During start-up, accelerating or heading uphill, it will fire all six cylinders to give you the maximum power. Once you've reached cruising speed, it would automatically drop down to four cylinders, or even three, if it is an easy cruise. This maximizes both performance and fuel economy.

To achieve the same quietness and smoothness, as when running on all six cylinders, new Active Control Engine Mounts (ACM) and Active Noise Control (ANC) systems have been designed to complement the VCM technology.
The ACM (Active Control Engine Mount System) cancels out engine vibration, ensuring a smoother, more comfortable ride. You can enjoy a silent ride with the ANC (Active Noise Control) which nullifies unwanted noise by generating out-of-phase sound waves, that may occur due to the harmonics of cylinder operation.

The intelligent electronically controlled 5-speed Paddle Shift takes driving comfort to a new level. A shift hold control system reduces unnessary gear shift in cornering and supplies acceleration immediately after making a turn.
The conveniently placed cruise control buttons on the steering wheel of the Accord V6 allows you to relax on long drives, and maintain speed without bothering with the accelerator.
Now you can keep your eyes on the road, rather than the speedometer.
The Accord uses Drive–by–Wire technology. The system uses an electronic position sensor connected to the accelerator pedal that sends an electronic signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
