The engine also delivers outstanding environmental performance and meets Euro-IV emission levels and is E-10 (10% ethanol and 90% unleaded petrol) compatible.
Variable Gear Ratio
The new Accord takes full advantage of the variable gear ratio (VGR) steering system, which responds faithfully to the driver's intentions. This is why despite its larger dimensions; the new Accord achieves superb maneuverability with a smaller turning radius.
Wishbone Suspension
The advanced Double Wishbone Suspension in the front uses both lower and upper control links for better cornering, maneuvering in an emergency. A new multi–link rear Double Wishbone Suspension ensures a smooth drive. It also provides more stability for taking faster turns. Higher front and rear roll centres improve handling and provide a more comfortable drive. Overall the new Accord delivers an improved response, better road grip reduced tyre input and lesser pitch and roll.
Chassis and Body
Underbody airflow management significantly reduces drag and lift in the all new Accord. This is achieved by an engine under cover, a flat floor design with the frame mounted inside the body and rear floor cover.
