A new advanced i-VTEC engine delivers 180
PS with an optimal fuel efficiency and clean

torque curve across the RPM band are its hallmarks.
Intelligent 5speed Automatic Transmission
with Paddle Shift
Inspired by Honda F1. an electronically controlled
intelligent 5 speed Paddle Shift takes driving
comfort to a new level. It uses the engine’s
broad torque curve for brisk acceleration,
optimal fuel economy and smooth shifting.
A shift hold control system reduces unnecessary
gear shift up in cornering and supplies acceleration
immediately after making a turn.
Drive-by-Wire
The Accord uses Drive-by-Wire technology.
The system uses an electronic position sensor
connected to the accelerator pedal that sends
an electronic signal to the Powertrain Control
Module (PCM). |
